Group Therapy
We offer several group therapy sessions every day. Our clinicians hold a master’s level degree and are licensed by the state. Our group sessions allow residents to interact with each other, support each other and hold each other accountable as they work through their obstacles together. Residents also practice developing interpersonal relationships and communicating courteously and effectively with one another.
Family Therapy
Discover the transformative power of family therapy at Moonlight Mountain Recovery. Our approach incorporates attachment-based therapy to strengthen family bonds, exposure therapy to address underlying issues, and support groups to foster understanding and healing. Together, we'll navigate the journey towards lasting recovery and familial harmony.

Experiential Activities
We offer many experiential activities every day that are designed to help the residents learn to enjoy worthwhile and fulfilling activities without the use of alcohol or drugs. Residents have the opportunity to discuss these activities with their groups or in an individual setting. Some of the activities include Yoga, gym time, and meditation. We also provide a “super activity” once per week that takes residents out of the facility for a few hours to enjoy a variety of activities designed to build character, improve physical and emotional health, and nurture healthy relationships with other. **All activities are subject to scheduling and availability.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been shown to produce excellent results within the drug and alcohol treatment community. This treatment is generally one-on-one between our clinician and the resident. CBT helps the clinician get to the root of the addiction problem very quickly, thus helping the treatment at our facility to be more effective.

Dual Diagnosis
Our clinicians are trained to help with substance-abuse problems and also mental illnesses that often accompany the substance abuse. Our goal is to introduce balance into the resident’s life that will help them cope with both the addiction and the illness after they leave Moonlight Mountain Recovery.
Art & Music Therapy
Experience the therapeutic benefits of art and music therapy at Moonlight Mountain Recovery. Through creative expression and exploration, these modalities provide powerful outlets for self-discovery and healing. Guided by experienced therapists, uncover new avenues for personal growth and lasting recovery on your journey towards wellness.

Exposure Therapy
Engage in exposure therapy at Moonlight Mountain Recovery to confront and overcome your fears. With the guidance of experienced therapists, gradually face challenging situations in a safe and supportive environment, fostering resilience and empowering lasting recovery.
12-Step Program
The 12-Step Program provides an effective framework for treating alcohol and substance abuse problems. The first 12-Step program began with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) in the 1930’s. This approach has since grown to be widely used with not only alcoholism, but also substance abuse and many other addictive behaviors.
At Moonlight Mountain Recovery we take the 12-Step Program and customize it for each individual. We are careful to consider any spiritual or cultural preferences when developing each program.
